Szent Donát Slikker Olaszrizling Vineyard Selection 2022 (Csopak)
Uniqueness of the wine: This wine is a sip of the essence of the Balaton Highlands, the "real Csopak". All the minerality and elegance of the red sandstone and clay soil of the Slikker vineyard in Csopak are contained in this Olaszrizling.
Aroma and taste: Medium intensity, straw yellow colour with greenish reflections. Notes of quince, wild pear, and chestnut mix with a delicate, salty-mineral background in its scent. Full-bodied, creamy, vibrant acid structure on the palate, with a long and memorable finish.
Production characteristics: Organic cultivation, short skin maceration, gravitational settling, bottling without filtration.
Serving tip and food pairing: Chilled, at 8-10°C. With grilled pike-perch, zander, fresh salads, or light chicken risotto.
Mood: Summer afternoon on the terrace, light friendly conversation, the Balaton feeling.
Nyári Pince, Szent-György hegyi Kéknyelű
Uniqueness of the wine: The winery has been consistently producing excellent Kéknyelű vintages for many years, a variety found on barely 50 hectares in the country. Its popularity among experienced wine consumers is outstanding.
Aroma and taste: Pale lemon yellow with greenish reflections. Restrained elegance in the nose, notes of green apple, citrus, and delicate flowers, with the smoky minerality of St. George Hill's basalt in the background. Tight, vibrant, mild saltiness, and citrus, pear flavours on the palate.
Production characteristics: Aged for more than a year in oak barrels. The higher acidity (6.5 g/l) is balanced by the residual sugar (5.5 g/l), making the wine more harmonious.
Serving tip and food pairing: At 9-11°C, with Balaton roasted bream, fresh goat cheese salads.
Mood: Complex, layered, sophisticated, and intellectual. For special occasions when you have time to immerse yourself in the details.
