Csernyik Pince Olaszrizling 2023 (Mátra)
The wine's distinctive character: One of my most beautiful Olaszrizling experiences. A skillfully crafted, highly drinkable intense Olaszrizling that, alongside the classic characteristics of the variety, excellently expresses the terroir's character.
Serving suggestion: Shines brightest alongside fish prepared with a lemon-butter sauce, but is also a perfect companion to a generous charcuterie board with aged ham, semi-hard cheeses, sun-dried tomatoes and premium olive oil.
Zsirai Tokaji Középhegy Furmint 2023 (Tokaj)
The wine's distinctive character: This wine beautifully showcases the taut, crystal-clear character of dry Tokaji Furmint from one of the region's most valuable vineyard sites near Mád.
Aroma and flavor profile: Gleaming straw yellow color. The nose reveals green apple, white-fleshed peach, pear, subtle citrus and cool volcanic minerality. On the palate, tense, vibrant acidity, succulent fruit character, salty minerality with a long, dry finish.
Serving suggestion: Best enjoyed at 10–12°C, alongside almond-crusted trout, pork tenderloin with celery purée, poultry in white wine sauce or fresh goat cheese.
Mood: A concentrated, intellectual, layered wine – an essential companion to special dinners and profound conversations.
Kolonics Pince Juhfark 2023 (Somló)
The wine's distinctive character: The oldest and most characteristic variety of Somló hill from Károly Kolonics' traditional workshop.
Aroma and flavor profile: Deep golden yellow color. The nose is dominated by ripe quince, apricot, dried herbs and the smoky, flint-like minerality so characteristic of Somló. On the palate, assertive body, tense and vibrant acidity, oily texture and a long, salty finish.
Serving suggestion: Best served at 11–13°C alongside smoked fish, rich sauced poultry, mushroom risotto or aged, salty hard cheeses.
Mood: An excellent foundation for contemplative evening tastings and conversations by the fireplace – a true treasure for lovers of volcanic wines.
